Abu Dhabi is home to a large protected mangrove forest and the Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites has a beautiful view over it. I visited Abu Dhabi with my family and after staying two nights at Jannah Burj al Sarab downtown we stayed two nights at the mangroves. It’s a great suite hotel and I will show you why Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites should be your choice if visiting Abu Dhabi. First, I’ll show you a short video impression of my stay.
Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites is located approximate 20 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and the same distance to the airport. It overlooks the mangroves of Abu Dhabi and is an all-suite hotel. It’s a long six story building with lots of parking space in front of it. When I arrived, I was checked in quickly and my luggage taken care off. The staff is very friendly and welcomed me home. I felt at home.
The rooms at Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites
I booked a two-bedroom suite at Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites for my family so that we would all be together in a room. All suites have a beautiful view over the mangroves and a balcony to enjoy a cool evening breeze. The suites are large and all have a kitchenette which is especially handy for longer stays. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with rainforest shower and bath. I love rainforest showers and my kids, especially my daughter, enjoys a bath once every day. The suites are well-equipped and decorated in warm light colors. Although it was a pure leisure trip I still had to do my emails which was perfectly possible from the desk in each room. The beds are large with crisp sheets; I love that. My family and I felt at home in our suite and we had a great time together.
Facilities at Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites
Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites has a rooftop pool and adjacent gym. The pool is midsized and has enough seats around it. I didn’t see a lot of people and my daughter enjoyed swimming there. The view is also amazing over the mangroves with the Abu Dhabi skyline in the back. The hotel also offers like Jannah Burj al Sarab does access to Happiness Island (read my experience). At the mangroves, there are a wide variety of water activities. I went kayaking with my family for a few hours through the mangroves. A great experience. Other options include peddling, boating in a solar powered donut or you can hire a speed boat. Lots of activities that will keep you busy for a few days; at least we didn’t get bored.
Dining & Drinking at Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites
Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites doesn’t have its own restaurant but the corniche in front of the mangroves has a wide variety of restaurants. I had dinner once at the Lebanese restaurant and the other day at the Italian restaurant. My kids bought breakfast each morning at the local supermarket and prepared it for my wife and I. Other dining options are a steakhouse, fish restaurant, burger outlet and a Starbucks amongst a few others. Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites itself is a dry hotel but as all dining options are managed by third parties it’s possible to have a beer or glass of wine. These are served on a separate terrace to not upset the locals. The food at each of the outlets was delicious and very well prepared. I was a bit worried that it would be expensive as there are not more options close by but this wasn’t the case at all; it was affordable.
If you visit Abu Dhabi and want something else as a downtown hotel or a corniche hotel then I recommend staying at Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites. It’s an all-suite hotel and they are spacious and comfortable. It offers a pool and gym but most enjoyable are the water activities. At the waterfront, there are plenty of food outlets including a supermarket. I had a lovely comfortable stay with my family. I highly recommend Jannah Eastern Mangroves Suites if you visit Abu Dhabi. I felt at home.
