Japan, or also called Nippon or the Land of the Rising Sun, is an island nation on the outermost edge of eastern Asia. It’s a super-efficient country where ages of history meet ultra-modern technologies. Hot springs, skiing in the north, tropics and different culture on Okinawa and the cradle of Japan in the Kansai area make Japan a very diverse destination. Huge cities mix with ancient temples and if you are into food you can go splurge and spend easily a few hundred euro a head. The locals are friendly and if you ask for directions they will walk with you to show you. In May, there is the cherry blossom; but count on hordes of people wanting to see it too. Enjoy with me my experiences in Japan by reading the articles below and stay tuned for more to come.
